Report Prepared By: Director of Operational Services September 23, 2019 Report Presented By: Jeff Kreiter Capital Improvement Plan Update Report Architect/Engineering Selection and Various CIP School Projects EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Purpose of Report: To receive School Board authorization to employ various architectural firms for Architectural/Engineering Services relating to various CIP school projects. ______________________________________________________________________________ On August 9, 2018 the District issued Request for Proposal (RFP) for Architectural/Engineering Services relating to four (4) separate Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Projects; Horace Mann, Laura Wilder, Cleveland and John F. Kennedy. The RFP was issued by advertising, web posting and sending out the RFP to 16 local architectural firms. The proposals were due on September 2, 2019. The District received 10 proposals. An evaluation committee representing the District evaluated the proposals. The following content required in the proposals were reviewed and evaluated: Project Approach Proposer’s Experience and Qualifications Personnel Experience Make-up of Consultants (Structural, Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineers) Project Experience Project Schedule and Plan Fees Following the review, evaluation and further discussions of the proposals, the Evaluation Team selected the following four (4) firms for the projects. Horace Mann Elementary: TSP Fee - 5.50% Laura Wilder Elementary: EAPC Fee - 6.00% Cleveland Elementary: Koch Hazard Fee - 5.25% John F. Kennedy Elementary: Architecture Inc. Fee - 5.50% The fees structure includes all required Architectural/Engineering Services for each project. The fees are in line with the District’s project estimates. The four (4) projects are part the District’s CIP plan, approved by the voters on September 18, 2018. Next month’s CIP update will include videos, showing the progress at Jefferson High School, Ben Reifel Middle School and the completed Memorial Middle School addition. The evaluation committee consisted of the Assistant Superintendent of Administrative Services, Assistant Superintendent of Academic Achievement, Director of Research, Innovation and Accountability, Business Manager, Sr. Director of Operational Services, and the District’s Construction Supervisor. ________________________________________________________________________________ Administrative Recommendation to School Board: Acknowledge the results of the RFP process and authorize the President and Business Manager to enter into contracts with the selected architectural/engineering firms listed above for the respective building projects.

Capital Improvement Plan Update Report Architect/Engineering Selection and Various CIP School Projects

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

Purpose of Report: To receive School Board authorization to employ various architectural firms for Architectural/Engineering Services relating to various CIP school projects. ______________________________________________________________________________

On August 9, 2018 the District issued Request for Proposal (RFP) for Architectural/Engineering Services relating to four (4) separate Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) Projects; Horace Mann, Laura Wilder, Cleveland and John F. Kennedy. The RFP was issued by advertising, web posting and sending out the RFP to 16 local architectural firms. The proposals were due on September 2, 2019.

The District received 10 proposals. An evaluation committee representing the District evaluated the proposals. The following content required in the proposals were reviewed and evaluated:
