AUTHOR GUIDELINES Authors should follow general manuscript preparation instructions from www.onlinecjc.ca, while noting these specific instructions for Trainee Section articles: • 1,500 words (max.) • Five references (max.) • Three (non-scientific) tables/figures (max.) • No abstract or brief summary required Articles should not follow a typical scientific article structure (i.e. no background, methods, results) • Medical students and junior residents are strongly encouraged to work collaboratively with a senior mentor to produce articles Did you know the Canadian Journal of Cardiology (CJC) now publishes articles written for trainees, by trainees? Calling all Trainees! Trainees (i.e. medical students, residents, PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows or early career clinicians/researchers) are invited to contribute original, non-scholarly manuscripts on topics such as: • Career planning • Work-life integration • Unexpected challenges • Training-related issues This is an excellent opportunity for trainees to participate in practical knowledge exchange, and establish themselves amongst their peers and mentors. Consider submitting your manuscript to the CJC Trainee Section ([email protected])! Manuscripts will be accepted on a rolling basis.
