Slide 4
Get ready to read about five very special dogs! Its going to be
doggone awesome! Once you flip this page you are going to see dogs
after dog!
Slide 5
Beagles are great pets and trackers. They are great and very
kind to children. They cheer you up when you are down. Like my
neighbors dog Beta sometimes if she pulls too hard on the leash she
has a hard time breathing and my dog, a Beagle June, licks her face
like trying to tell her it will be okay. They are very loyal,
pleasing and very upbeat to their masters and even strangers.
Although they are great dogs, when it comes to training, they can
become a bit stubborn.
Slide 6
Beagles are one of the best dog trackers in the whole world!
They actually have one of the best noses in the whole dog world!
They have ten times better smelling cells than us and maybe more.
Their type of prey, also known as (aka) game, is rabbits and
squirrels, usually. They have kind of short legs so they can run
fast. They are most seen as a tri color dog, tan, black and white
so they can camouflage into their surroundings, but other times
they can be black and white or cream and white. So let us just say
they can come in a variety of interesting colors.
Slide 7
Now you can see beagles are great pets and trackers!
Slide 8
Golden Retrievers are also great pets, duck tolling and leader
dogs. They don not just get attached to just one person they get
attached to everyone! They also love being with children! It you
are bored Golden Retrievers will get you going. They will make you
have a smile. Also if you are upset or something bad happens Golden
Retrievers will try to cheer you up.
Slide 9
Another thing they are great at is duck tolling. Duck tolling
is where a hunter shoot a bird or a duck and then the Golden
Retriever goes and fetches the bird or duck and brings it back to
their masters. Duck tolling has been going on for sometime. The
people who shoot the birds or ducks usually eat the bird(s)and give
a little to the dogs but other times they just shoot the bird(s)
for fun which is just plain and mean!
Slide 10
Last but definitely not least because there are so many great
traits about them you can mot count them all. They are great Leader
Dogs! If you do not exactly know what a Leader Dog is, it helps
people who are blind or deaf( Blind=someone who can not see, Deaf=
someone who can not hear). Like my friend Janette, who trained her
dog Friday to be a Leader Dog and guess what? He made it! Leader
Dogs are so reliable. They help you cross streets, pick up phones,
open doors and more! People are so lucky to have a Leader Dog!
Slide 11
Now that you can see it is pretty obvious that Golden
Retrievers are great pets, great dogs for duck tolling and great at
being a Leader Dog!
Slide 12
German Shepherds are awesome police dogs! Police officers use
them to track criminals. Police officers go off on missions and
take their dogs of course! Sometimes when police are after someone
they let the dog go and sniff them out because German Shepherds
have a great sense of smell. Then if the German Shepherd finds the
person, he/she usually sends out a warning bark to let its partner
know that she/he has found the culprit. Then the officers hear the
warning bark and try to find where the dog is.
Slide 13
Other times a police finds the culprit and says put your hands
up and sometimes the criminals do not do as they are told to do so
the police have no choice and put the dog on the person. This is
not to hurt the person just enough to get the criminals to do as
the officers say.
Slide 14
Now that you can officially see German Shepherds are great
police dogs!
Slide 15
Siberian Huskies are quite a fast breed of dog. Siberian
Huskies are known a lot for dog sledding. they are very good at dog
sledding. Let me tell you why, but first let me tell you what dog
sledding is! Dog sledding is about eight or more dogs on a team.
The dogs pull the sled, starts at one location and end at a
different location. This takes a lot of stamina which Siberian
Huskies and Alaskan Malamute definitely have.
Slide 16
Now the reason they are so good at it is because they have
really coats, a inner sort of coat and a outer coat which is very
fluffy but great for dog sledding!
Slide 17
These dogs were meant for it. Now you learned some interesting
things about Siberian Huskies!
Slide 18
Poodles are very smart and intelligent dogs! They also come in
a variety of different colors and sizes. Poodles learn and catch
onto things very quickly. Like my friend, Janette, again, her dog
is a poodle and he learns things so fast!
Slide 19
Another cool thing about Poodles is they come in a variety of
different of colors such as, autumn which is a very pretty color,
black like twilight, white like snow, and even brown.
Slide 20
The last thing about them that is cool is that they can come in
a variety of sizes standard the biggest of them all miniature which
is the sort of small and toy which is the smallest of them
all.
Slide 21
Isnt that cool to learn? Now you know what colors and sizes
they come in!
Slide 22
There are still so many dog breeds in this world, but these are
five dog breeds that really stand out to me and shine! I hope you
liked to read about these dogs! Beagle Poodle Siberian Husky
Slide 23
The dogs wanted to give you this: Yip, yip, from a dog Yip, yip
not a frog Curly, fluffy as you know sometimes even white as snow
