PRODUCT AND SERVICE OFFERING:
Using our flagship product, Joyner X (FLATWRAP machine) in combination with the latest fleet of VW
commercial vans, MMPD is able to develop a customised distribution model, which offers timely,
efficient, reliable and accurate delivery of publisher’s products 24/7.
MMPD has made a significant investment in the development of a rich library of reusable
distribution outlets. This library offers significant advantages when developing a custom manifest for
a targeted demographic or publication.
Market tested
Each manifest produced by MMPD is the result of market demand. The requirements are
researched, developed and refined in conjunction with one or more clients to ensure each
model is functionally complete.
Production proven
Every manifest in the MMPD library is a component of one or more model requirements. As
a result, the model is solid and functionality is complete.
Decreased time to market
The manifest library has been developed over a period of 48months (and approx 24,000
labour hours). As a result, MMPD clients don’t pay to ‘re-invent the wheel’. The distribution
model is developed faster and of higher quality with a higher Return on Investment (ROI) in
a shorter period of time.
Minimised project risk
The risk associated with distribution development and implementation is typically very high.
In addition the result is often a high rate of project failure and cost overruns. These risks are
mitigated through a proven, repeatable processes and the use of proven returns and
collection methods.
Inexpensive to maintain
Due to the basic database design of the Microsoft Excell manifest library, adding new
locations or deleting closed outlets is a basic function. Adding new pages, additional

functionality, and updating content can all be performed utilizing not much more than using
basic word and excel processing skills.
Functionally complete
With few exceptions and for most applications, databases can be used ‘as is’ to deliver
complete functionality.
MMPD’s design and distribution management team is proficient in design platforms for the creation
of distribution outlets to suit specific markets or demographics.
METHODOLOGY
MMPD utilises a five-step methodology to create timely, effective and efficient distribution
solutions. The methodology established a solid foundation for a common understanding of the
project approach and enables the disciplined delivery of the solution in structured, manageable
phases. While the overall methodology remains the same, processes and deliverables are
customised within the methodology to meet each project or client’s individual objectives. The five
steps of the methodology are known as DISCOVERY, DEFINITION, DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT and
DEPLOYMENT.
DISCOVERY
Discovery is the process of identifying areas of opportunity based upon certain criteria. Often, in
smaller engagements, Discovery and Definition result in a response such as this to a request for a
proposal. In larger engagements, Discovery may be a single, distinct phase, which in turn leads to the
definition of multiple projects.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
Interview executive sponsor to identify key objectives.
Document, prioritise, and group key objectives.
Interview key stakeholders to gain business and market context
Identify executive sponsor, project lead.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
MMPD understanding of client business and market conditions
MMPD/ client analysis of key objectives, general approach and expected outcomes

All MMPD project teams have a MMPD executive sponsor whose role is to ensure the quality of each
management. In the discovery phase, the MMPD executive sponsor works closely with the account
team to ensure an accurate understanding of the client’s business, objectives and engagement
results. This is accomplished through a series of key stakeholder interviews, which provide a
balanced; complete understanding of the clients issues, directive, challenges, and/ or opportunities.
The result is a document outlining MMPD’s understanding of the situation, a high level approach to a
solution, and the expected results. Client acknowledgement is required prior to proceeding with the
engagement.
DEFINITION
The definition phase is intended to organise and prioritise objectives as well as establish scope for
the project. In smaller engagements, all or a portion of the Definition phase may be completed in
conjunction with the Design phase, resulting in a response such as this to a request for a proposal. In
larger engagements, the DEFINITION phase may be a single, distinct phase that in turn leads to the
DESIGN, DEVELOPMENT and DEPLOYMENT of one or more applications.

interest. In addition, MMPD requests that the client have available, if applicable the client’s logo (in
digital form), imagery, current distribution lists and brand book.
DESIGN
During the design phase, MMPD works with the client to develop a blue print for the alternative
retail distribution model and its technical requirements. Working with the client, MMPD distribution
analysis and consultants will translate the briefs and functional requirements from the DEFINITION
phase into manifest mock-ups and technical specifications. These items will be used to guide the
DEVELOPMENT phase, ensuring consistency between all MMPD and client team members.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
MMPD manifest and database designers will create retailer list in a delivery sequence to
minimise kilometres travelled and time taken to service each chosen retailer.
MMPD designers will create systems to ensure the necessary functionality of the distribution
model.
MMPD will conduct one or more design review meetings with the client.
KEY DELIVERABLES:
Sequenced manifest in all areas of the Eastern Seaboard of Australia.
Structure of processes required facilitating the delivery, accountability, generation of
invoices and collection of monies from sales generated within this model.
Distribution model specifications.
The end of DESIGN represents a critical stage in MMPD’s methodology. Client sign off is required for
all key deliverables in order for MMPD to progress to the development phase.
