About the twelve Olympians

The gods of the Greeks

The twelve resided upon mount Olympus(Zeus, Poseidon, Ares, Hermes, Hephaestus, Aphrodite, Athena, Apollo, and Artemis)

The valuable gods/goddesses considered of:

• Hades, Hestia, Demeter, Dionysus

There were 14 gods/goddess in total but only 12 at a time.

She has a total of 4 siblings and one husband

It is said that she gave Zeus a love potion to make him fall in love with her

• What type of god was he?•The god of War

• What was his symbol?•His Spear

• Did he have any spouses?•No he did not other he did have several children

• Other interesting Facts?•He is the solo sun of Zeus and his real wife Hera

•His roman name is Mars

• In general who was Apollo?•He was the Sun God.

• Did he have any siblings?•Yes he had a twin sister, named Artemis.

• Who were his parents?•Apollo was the son of Zeus and Leto, a nymph .

• Other interesting facts?•His symbols include a laurel tree, the crow, and the dolphin.

•Who was she?•The Goddess of the Moon and the hunt.

• Birth place?•She was born on the Island of Delos with her twin brother Apollo.

•Other interesting facts?•Her Roman name is Diana

Who was she?The Goddess of Wisdom, Strategy.

Who were her parents and why did she hate them?

Her father was Zeus and she was born from his for head.

Did she have any children?No she did not, because she was known as the virgin of the gods/goddess.

Other interesting facts?Her Roman name was Minerva.

Who was he?The God of fire and the forge.

What role did he play for upon mount Olympus?

He created Pandora.

Does he have a spouse?His wife was Aphrodite.

Other interesting things?His Roman name is Vulcan

His symbols are anivle and the forge.

Who was he?The God of boundaries.

What was his role upon mount Olympus?

He was considered the messenger of the gods.

Does he have any spouses or children?

He has no spouse only affairs (Dryope, pan, and Aphrodite) that have led to his children.

Other interesting facts?His Roman name his Mercury.

•Who was he?•The god of Intoxication and Drunkenness.

•He was not considered one of the twelve Olympians.

•Some other important/interesting facts?

•His roman name is Bacchus.

•Who was she?•Is the goddess of Health.

•She is the eldest daughter of Rhea and Kronos.

•She was a virgin and never loved anyone.

•Other interesting facts?•Her Roman name is Vesta.

Who was she?The Goddess of the Harvest.

She is mother of Persephone.

Is not really considered one of the twelve Olympians.

Other interesting facts?Her Roman name is ceres.

Who was he?The God of the Underworld.

Who was his wife that he kept prisoner?

Her name was Persephone, the daughter of Demeter.

Persephone was given to Hades from Zeus as a present.

Who were his brothers and sisters?

Zeus, Poseidon, Hera, and Hestia.

Other interesting facts?His Roman name is Pluto.
