The shaded weeks are when we collect your recycling. Recycling is generally collected onthe same day as your waste and from the same location. Please note that, like your waste,

recycling should be out for collection by 7am on your collection day. Thank you.

Garden wasteIf you dont have a compost bin orif you have too much to compostat home, we offer a subsidisedcollection service to your doorfor 1 a sack. Or you can take

your garden waste to oneof your green garden waste local

collection sites (Aprilto November), or to a Reuse and

Bulky waste

If you have household waste thatstoo large for your bin, you can use

one of the Reuse and RecyclingCentres or our chargeable collectionservice. However, why not considerwhether a local charity shop could

use it? Or you could join the BromleyFreecycle group, where you can

swap things at no cost to you or theenvironment www.freecycle.org.uk

Extra recycling boxes?Some residents nd their

recycling boxes are full beforetheir collection is due. If youneed extra boxes well gladly

deliver them, free of charge, toyour door. Call our CustomerServices on 020 8313 4557.

Never put hazardous wastesuch as asbestos, pesticides,

creosote or paint stripperin your bin. Instead, call theCorporation of London (020

7332 3433), which will collectsmall quantities free of charge

the rst time. You can takecement-bounded asbestos toWaldo Road if you double-bagit and place it in the correct

container.

Pavements are for peopleWe ask residents to put their waste

out for collection on their land,within arms reach of the pavement,

but not on it. This is because wasteon the pavement looks bad and

is a hazard. If theres an accidentinvolving your waste on the

pavement, you could be liable!

Wheeled binsLarge wheeled bins increasethe amount of waste peopleput out and cause collection

problems. This is why we dontsupply or approve them. If youwant to use your own wheeled

bin, please also use your refusesack and note that we dont

have to replace damaged bins.

D-I-Y wasteThe Reuse and RecyclingCentres take household

waste that is a normal part ofeveryday living but is too big

for your bin. We may ask you topay to dispose of do-it-yourself

waste, especially bricks and

rubble, if you have a largeamount.
