STATIONS AND SUBWAYSStations and subways are very complex where areas coexist invery reduced common spaces,where thousands of passengerspass through every day, areas forthe storage of assets and sensitiveequipment, but also areas in whichpassengers can find themselves inreal danger by not paying attention,such as crossing the tracks while atrain is approaching.The most sophisticated integratedtechnology is required in these

areas, such as video surveillancewith image analysis for detection of“abnormal” behaviour, control of access points with many accesslevel permissions, including fingerprint verification and face recognition. Fibre optics to identifythe presence of individuals in potentially dangerous positions during a particular event, such asthe arrival or passage of a train at astation.We integrate the different

technologies in a single system making a common display andman/machine interface, creating aspecific access profile that will allowcompartmentalisation of the systemby areas of competence, guaranteeing the correct information is presented to the appropriate operator, trained totake the appropriate actions forthat event.

The safety of roads and highways isobtained above all by informationgathered from those same roads.Video surveillance, with integratedimage analysis, can detect in realtime dangerous situations developing, such as broken down

vehicles, accidents, or simply delaysdue to volume of traffic. We propose high quality video surveillance equipment, able to capture the best images independent of the atmosphericconditions, by day or night,

guaranteeing fast image analysis,which allows the operators to makequick decisions to correct the situation as fast as possible.

GEO ENVIRONMENTAL SAFETYAIRPORTSLarge areas with high risk, due tothe presence of passengers, staffand sub-contractors, where it mustbe possible to detect attacks eitheron the external perimeter or internal, hidden among the hundreds of people who come andgo throughout the common areasall day and night. We propose integrated intrusiondetection for reliable monitoring ofthe external perimeter, the entrances and the public areas usingbehavioural analysis. We can detectthe presence of unusual behaviour,automatically track and if necessaryreact in a directed fashion, givingthe correct information to the appropriate personnel. The integration of the systems guarantees a global level of management for airport security systems with a common graphicalinterface which simplifies the tasksof the people responsible for security. At the same time it giveseach responsible agency access onlyto the information that is relevantto their competence and their operational authorisation.

The term security also includes anelement of “safety”. Our systemsare also used to protect against environmental risks. We monitorenvironmental risks in railway lines,

highways, including tunnels and viaducts, and detect landslips or obstacles that could create verydangerous situations. Integrated display systems with a single

graphical interface guarantees complete, fast and accurate information in real time for thepeople responsible for security.
