5.30 pm It is hoped All Sheep will be removed from the Market Premises by this time. Anyone unable to comply with this requirement should make contact with a member of Wright Manley’s staff who will advise as to alternative arrangements.

SPECIAL NOTES

UDDERS: All Female Sheep are sold as correct in the udder unless otherwise intimated. Any complaint about udders should be made to the Auctioneer before removal from the sale premises otherwise no claim will be entertained.

BREEDING GUARANTEES: All Ewes and Gimmers other than those marked red on the shoulder are guaranteed to be in lamb as at the date of sale to the Service/AI dates given and are guaranteed for 30 days from the day of Sale. Any claims received after this date will not be entertained. The service/insemination dates given are accurate to the best of the vendor’s knowledge; but purchasers should be aware that Ewes can lamb before and after the expected due date. HEALTH: All Sheep presented for Sale in the market are from Maedi Visna Flocks. All Sheep presented for Sale must be accompanied by the relevant MV Accredited Movement Licence. If the Flock is Scrapie Monitored please supply the relevant Certificate.

Lot 1 to Lot 36 are the property of Stuart Davies and comprise a major reduction from his noted BEAUFORT Flock. They have won RESERVE CHAMPION FLOCK in the NATIONAL FLOCK COMPETITION and CHAMPION FLOCK Shropshire and Montgomery Flock Competition 2013. All the best ewes are in the sale and only the late lambers and the ewe lambs have been retained. Prior to this year’s success the Flock has gained many awards in the past including being Reserve Champion Flock in the National Flock Competition as well as Champion Flock in the Western Area and local Club competitions on a number of occasions. Past sires include Strathisla Massa (2000 gns), Strathisla Savoy (9000 gns), Strathisla Trojan (7000 gns) and Conveth The Jackpot (3600 gns). Sires in use this year include a Burnview lamb purchased from the National Sale for 2600 gns and Davishill Decision loaned from Messrs. Tooze’s Spittal Flock. All ewes are on the Heptavac P system, all have been vaccinated against Schmallenberg, received vitamin boluses and have been wormed.

CAIRNESS ACHIEVEMENT was Champion and sold for 20000 gns National Show & Sale 2009. This son of Cairness Just The Best was purchased by the Conveth Flock who sold a half-share back to Cairness. He has bred very well and sired two members of the 1st prize Team of Three as well as the overall Champion at Stirling 2011. Also sired the Champion Ram Lamb at Carlisle 2011, also the 1st prize lamb in the Recorded class at this year’s National. So far his sons have sold up to to 7000 gns and grand sons up to 12000 gns.

RYCHMAE CHEYENNE is Cairness bred being a son of the noted Cairness Coldplay and traces back to a 6000 gns ewe lamb from Muiresk.

CAIRNESS SEE THE STARS was sold for 20000 gns. He is a great breeding ram and has been kindly loaned by Jimmy Douglas.

SAFADDAN SADDAM was a member of the winning Interbreed Group Cheshire Show. He is by Strathisla Stoner and out of a 1600 gns ewe lamb bred at Rhaeadr. His brother won Breed Champion Three Counties Show.

He is a well proven sire – his sons include Sitlow Top Gun who bred the sire of the 17000 gns National Champion 2012 and Cairnton Eyecatcher, sire of the 10000 gns lamb sold to Conveth at Stirling 2012.

HADDO HIGH VOLTAGE: We are very pleased to have been able to purchase a share in this fantastic ram who is much admired and has a tremendous carcase . He consistently produces top quality stock with sons selling up to 5400 gns and 12 sons at this year’s National sold for prices up to 2100 gns. His sons have been exported to Northern Ireland and France.

JUBILEE LEGACY was purchased at Carlisle 2012. He has great carcase, colour and skin and his first crop of late born lambs have exceeded our expectations. Already five sons have sold into registered flocks. His progeny havce high growth rate, high muscle score and black,silky hair.

PERRINPIT HIGH PEAK was purchased at the National 2004. He is a well proven sire that continues to breed top quality stock. Rams by him have achieved success in both Sale and Show Ring. His sons have sold to 4000 gns 2004, 6200 gns 2004, 7000 gns 2005, 9000 gns 2006 and 8000 gns 2008. He sired the National Sale Champion at Shrewsbury last year and the outstanding show sheep, Sitlow Sensation who has won 5 inter-breed Championships in Northern Ireland. He also sired the Skipton Sale Champions of 2004, 2006 2007 and the Great Yorkshire Show Champion 2005. We have many daughters in the Flock.

ROUNDACRE RACEWAY 94137 was also purchased at Edinburgh 2009 for his power and tremendous back end. He is of pure Strathisla breeding. He is a son of Strathisla Speed and out of an excellent breeding ewe in the Roundacre Flock. His full sister won Interbreed Champion at Devon County Show 2009. He has bred very well for us with sons selling to 4000 gns at the National Sale this year.

VENDORS: Please Ensure:

* Your vehicle is cleaned and disinfected before loading stock.* The Wright Manley Entry Card is completed and travels with the animals. * That all Licences and Relevant Documents TRAVEL WITH the animals. * That all Persons travelling with the stock are wearing suitable clothing, i.e. Wellington boots,

waterproof leggings and/or a boiler suit/smock or waterproof top. All clothing to be clean.

Failure to comply with the above will result in stock being refused entry to the Market.

PURCHASERS & SPECTATORS: * The car park for all non livestock carrying vehicles will be in the area around the Calf Shed and

the only access for the market will be via the entrance nearest The Wild Boar. * All persons including ladies and children to wear suitable clothing. All clothing to be clean.

Anyone handling stock should wash their hands after handling stock* Disinfection points will be provided around the market which must be used regularly,

particularly when leaving cattle penning areas. * You need only C & D your stock trailer or lorry in the market if you are taking stock out again.

If you do not clean out you will have to complete a C & D exit form indicating when and where you will C & D before carrying livestock again. All rules will have to be rigidly enforced or a licence will be at risk of cancellation

ANIMAL TRANSPORT REGULATIONS

From 5th January 2007 New Regulations came into force affecting anyone who transports live animals. Anyone moving animals more than 65 kilometres (40 miles) will require a LICENCE.

For the majority of farmers who are likely to fall in this category, they will need to apply for a “SHORT JOURNEY AUTHORISATION” from the State Veterinary Service. This authorisation will last for 5 years unless revoked or suspended and a copy of this will be required to be carried whenever stock are moved. The distance of 65km is defined as the travelling distance, not as the crow flies.

SALE OF GOODS BY AUCTION – GENERAL CONDITIONS1. Lots1.1 The Buyer is deemed to have inspected any lot he buys and accordingly the lots are not sold by sample.1.2.1 The Buyer admits that he has not been included to bid by any description representation measurement or statement

made by or on behalf of the Seller and agrees that (apart from the agreed price and any matter confirmed in writingby the Auctioneers) these Conditions constitute the whole of the contract.

1.2.2 The Auctioneers act only as agents for the Sellers and will not be liable to the Buyer in any circumstances and haveno authority to make any such descriptions representations measurements or statements.

1.3 No warranty is given or implied as to fitness for purpose or the quality of lots sold.2. Sales2.1 The highest bidder for any lot shall be the Buyer and the contract shall be concluded on the fall of the hammer.2.2 The Buyer may not retract his bid in any circumstances.2.3 On the fall of the hammer the Buyer will immediately give to the Auctioneers his full name and address and if required

will pay the full purchase price.3. Payment3.1 In any event all lots purchased must be paid for in full on the day of sale. No lot must be removed from the sale

4. Disputes4.1 In the event of dispute as to bidding the Auctioneers may either put up and re-offer for sale the lot or lots in question

or may decide the dispute.4.2 Any other dispute arising in any way out of any lot or its sale shall be decided by the Auctioneers.4.3 The Auctioneers’ decision in any such case shall be final and binding in all respects.5. Title to and Removal of Lots5.1 All lots purchased shall be removed on the date of sale at the Buyer’s expense.5.2 The Buyer will be responsible for any damage caused in the course of such removal to other lots or to any part of the

premises on any part of which the auction is held regardless whether such damage is caused by the Buyer, hisemployees or agents or otherwise and whether such damage is a result of negligence or otherwise. NotwithstandingCondition 3.3 and the removal by the Buyer of any Lot, title to such Lot shall not pass to the Buyer until: -

5.2.1 The Buyer shall have paid the Purchase price in full and5.2.2 No other sums whatever shall be due from the Buyer to the seller or the Auctioneer.5.3 In respect of any such damage if so required by the Auctioneers the Buyer will pay the cost of repairing all such

damage (as estimated by the Auctioneers whose estimate shall be final and binding) before removal of any lots. Untilsuch payment is made the Buyer grants the Seller and/or the Auctioneers a lien over any lots bought by him.

6. Conduct of the Auction6.1 The Seller may offer any lots subject to a reserve price.6.2 The Seller or the Auctioneers may: -6.2.1 Bid up to such reserve price.6.2.2 Withdraw from sale any lot without disclosing a reserve.6.2.3 Rescind any sale within 3 hours of the final lot being sold if the lot has been sold under any reserve.

In the event of such rescission the purchase price or any part already paid by the Buyer shall be repaid but the partiesand the Auctioneers shall be under no further liability to each other.

6.3 The Auctioneers may refuse the bid of any person without giving a reason and may regulate bidding as they see fit.6.4 No bidder may advance less at a bid than the sum named from time to time by the Auctioneers.7. Neither the Seller nor the Auctioneers shall be liable in any way for any loss or damage on any part of the premises

on any part of which the auction is held.8. In the event of breach by the Buyer of any of these conditions the Auctioneers may rescind any contract with the Buyer

and put up and re-sell any lots the subject matter of such contract and the Buyer will immediately pay to theAuctioneers as a liquidated demand any deficit arising on the second sale.
