It is located on the banks of the River Danube, only a 10 minute ride by underground (U-Bahn - line U1) to the city centre. The VIC accommodates several United Nations and international organizations. The VIC comprises several buildings, M and C are the conference buildings. TOILETS WC facilities for persons with disabilities can be found at Gate 1 and Floors A05, A26, B07, C0E, C02, C04, C07, F0E, F01, F 06, F10, G01, G06, M0E, M01 and M02. WC RAMPS There are permanent ramps for wheelchair users. One is located at the exit of the U1 Kaisermühlen VIC Station and leads to the pathway to Gate 1. Another ramp is located at Gate1. Other building access ramps are located at the entrance of Buildings A, B and C. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
Persons with physical disabilities (permanent or temporary) that would exclude them from active participation in an evacuation of the premises are requested to notify the UNDSS at the time of registration for a meeting. In the event of an emergency evacuation, those persons will be attended to by staff assigned by the floor’s Evacuation Officer/ Scientific Secretary (if appropriate), or by UNDSS personnel.
