Mission Statement and Vision

• Mission: Helping young adults become aware of their full potential through the seven aspects of wellness through physical, mental, spiritual, emotional, social, family, and financial.

• Vision: All young adults discover their God given dream and are equipped with the tools to succeed.

• Kelsey Chinen- BA in Community Health Education and School Health Education. Founded a Red Cross Club at Kalani High School, served as coordinator for Summer Buddies Program for two summers, served on leadership team for CC4C at Linfield College, a bible study leader at Portland State University, and loves God!

• Peter Kim- Attended the Berkley College of Music, ran a small recording studio out in Hillsboro, independent business owner of Conceptual Records, counselor for Christian youth camp, and loves Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior!

• A teenager that has gone through this program knows who they are in Christ and where they are going. They have explored and formulated dreams that God has given them.

Portland Youth Hangout

• According to the youth manual youth were asked they like to hang out the top four spots were: Downtown, Malls, Parks, and Youth Organizations. Some specific streets were Alberta, Hawthorne, Mississippi, Belmont, Burnside, NW 23rd Ave and Pearl District.

Day to Day Outlook

• Prayer in a separate room: 24 hour 7 days a week prayer taken place. Prayer for people who come in with specific needs, prayer for the city and prayer for the center. Rotating schedules between different churches and student groups.

• Resource team available for anyone who needs extra resources. (housing, pastoral counseling)

• 1pm- Open café, study rooms and computer labs for people to work on homework

• 3pm-5:30pm: Family lesson days: Conflict Resolution classes, Communications, Lets talk about Sex, Healing from Family Hurts (ppl come without Family), After Family Healings (with family)

• 5pm-6pm- High school youth service• 6pm-8:30pm light dinner served to encourage community building

• 12pm: (off site) College students going into high schools during lunch hour for an At Promise club meeting. These will be run as bible studies for the high school students and can be held after school instead of at lunch.

• 1pm: Budget your life (alternating every week for ages 19-25)

• 4pm-6pm: Sport of the month

• 4-8pm: Classes on how to play musical instruments, art, and dance

• 7pm: “Cast, Reel, Catch, and Eat” dinner for college students where they learn, pray, act, within fellowship.

• 10pm- 2am: Recording Studio: Open for paying (on a sliding scale) recording artist of all ages

• Goals by the year: • 2011 At Promise will be a safe place where young adults can call

it their "spot". An established coffee/ frozen yogurt lounge is set up where art is shown as well as where youth can perform. Tutoring program is up and running. Weekly lessons are set in place, for example musical instruments, painting, computer, nutrition, financial, mental health, relationships, and personal growth.

• 2015 mentorship program going on where the younger young adults are mentored by the older and the older young adults have found a mentor in the community.

• 2017 At Promise will be branched out to the island of Oahu.

• 2020 At Promise will have 5 branches through out the country.
