Artwork Set Up for Formecutting Date Modified: 19/03/2013 Approved by: Preprint Assistant Manager 1 Open Pantone Solid Coated Swatch Book Select Pantone 072. 2 Rename the pantone Colour From your swatches window, double click the new colour Change Colour Mode to CMYK Manually Rename to knife (all lower case) 3 Create the knife line Group the artwork to be forme cut Select then grouped artwork and click the stroke option from the color window From the swatches menu, click the new Knife Colour Set the Stroke weight to 0.25 Set the stroke to Overprint in the attributes window 4 Finally, check your knifeline by zooming in on the artwork.
