About us

Aqua Innovations Ltd is a family owned company which launched their Aquaduct products in 2011. Realising a

niche in the market, the Managing Director identified the need to replace functional components associated

with bathrooms, wetrooms and landscape areas, to bring exciting new design innovations into these

environments.

John Harte, former MD of a specialist construction company, RIBA Award winner and Grand Designs finalist, had

completed many high end projects but found there was always something missing. This moment was

crystallised during the transformation of a bathroom into a £76K wetroom at a project in St. Johns Wood, which

included installing a standard utilitarian drain cover.

Step forward Aqua Innovations, with our attention to the finer detail, the days of finding functional

components for both internal and external products are truly over.

Our company mission is to free the market from the restraints of functionality thus transforming function into

art. The design and quality of a project will no longer be compromised by the finish of utilitarian components

which had previously led to client dissatisfaction, allowing the design to run seamlessly between internal and

external areas. Our team now design and transform everyday items into high quality desirable ‘must haves' under our “Aquaduct” brand using British manufacturers to deliver a superior product for architects and

designers alike.

Landscape Products

Aquaduct drain covers, combining art and function, adding the

designer detail to any patio, garden or utilitarian grill externally

and internally. These state-of-the-art covers replace functional

galvanised and plastic covers, that, to-date, were the only

finishes available for drainage channels, gullies and manholes

covers.

Our drainage products and covers are made from ethically

recycled marine grade stainless steel or cast iron to meet your

exacting design and satisfy the technical requirements for most

major manufacturers such ad ACO, Clark, MEA and Wade. Our

innovative ranges of designs are suitable for both traditional and

contemporary landscape projects.

We can either simply replace existing drainage covers with our

new designer covers or supply the complete drainage package for

your project. The standard drainage components are available in

recycled plastic and polymer concrete profiles. We can work with

you or your contractor to ensure your drain installation is both

stylish and compliant, without compromising on performance or

your design. The days of finding last minute solutions of covering

abysmal drainage covers with plant pots, stones and boulders are

truly gone.

As an optional extra for some products, locks can be included with

the drain covers for use in areas where additional security may be

required. Aquaduct can also now light up your channel drainage

that will add that designer finishing detail to your external

For the first time, landscape design will not be compromised by function with our innovative range of

coordinated stainless steel covers, grates and drainage products.

Our aesthetically designed and highly robust drainage covers are manufactured from 70% recycled marine

grade stainless steel, brushed finish to replace the utilitarian galvanised steel ladder style channel drain covers,

manholes and the truly abysmal black plastic gulley grates that scar every landscape project. We have five

designs in our standard stainless steel channel drainage range with coordinated covers for manhole & gulley

covers.

We are also happy to provide bespoke designs and finishes, working with residential, commercial and leisure

Contemporary styles are not for everyone, so with this in mind Aquaduct have introduced our ‘Iron Age’ set of

cast iron range reintroducing the charm and elegant design detail of yesteryear. The covers are the perfect

addition to any classic landscaped area. Manufactured from recycled cast iron, the covers will age naturally and

develop a golden bloom to a dark patina, which gives this particular drain cover a natural rustic look for any

classic scheme. The ageing process can be altered and delayed by applying further surface treatments. We have

ten designs in our cast iron range. The Locust Design was used in the Award winning garden at the prestigious

Tatton Park 2012.

Our in-house design team is always available to create beautiful, unique designs. We aim to work alongside our

clients to create bespoke drain covers that are unique to them. So, whether it is your company logo, family crest

or even a pattern inspired by your favourite flower, look no further than Aquaduct’s bespoke service.

We pride ourselves on being able to offer you and your clients the most comprehensive range of materials and

finishes. Aside from our standard range of brushed stainless steel and cast iron we can supply brass, bronze,

Our concept of ‘Transforming Function into Art’ can be extended to transform any functional utilitarian

component located internally or externally. Such as manhole covers that can be transformed into art

installations where the design can be extended outwards into the surrounding paved area with one of our

unique designs or we can work with you to customise your own design. These covers incorporate stainless steel

set into a variety of materials including: Stone, Resin. Other components that can also be transformed include

Ventilation / Air Condition covers, Orangery or conservatory floor heating registers, Privacy Screens, Balustrade

panels just to name a few.
