    All the above equipments were procured using UGC

    Technology)course attended a seminar conducted by

    Ms. Shweta Ojha of Balaji Telefilms on 08.02.11 and

    07.03.11onthebenefitsoftheirVisualEffectsCourse.

    Nine students were provided an opportunity to

    undergoashortinternshipinthesaidcompanybased

    on their performance in the interviews conducted by

    thecompany.

    BestLibraryUserAwardwasgiventotheThirdYear

    B.Com student Arun Kumar Dhuria for making the

    best use of all the library facilities for self

    development.

    The Library has renewed its membership of the

    Indian Merchant Chamber and three libraries

    American Library, British Council Library and Tata

    InstituteofSocialSciences.

    To conduct interesting

    activities for women

    students to make them

    aware of their rights and

    means of developing

    themselves.

    The Womens Development Cell conducted a variety ofactivities to focus on the rights and development ofwomenstudents. Posters on various womens issues were made by

    studentsanddisplayedinthecollegecampus.

    Essay competitions and Elocution competitions were

    organizedbythecollege.

    Competitions in the various forms of arts were

    11,2010. Two popular events, TV Anchoring and

    FashionShow,wereintroducedthisyear.

    Competitions on literary skills like elocution, debate

    andessaywritingwereconductedduringDecember06

    to10,2010.

    The Cultural Forum also organized two workshops to

    encourage students to come forward and share their

    talents.

    The Sports Director Mr.R.S.Pandey was appointed

    by the University of Mumbai as Manager for the

    UNIVERSITYFORUM

    Sadbhavana Divas was observed by the students and faculty on August 20, 2010 bytaking a pledge to achieve and promote goodwill among thepeople irrespective oflanguage,regionandreligion.

    The NSS unit, under the guidance of the University of Mumbai conducted a MalariaAwareness Campaign among the local community on October 27, 2010. The studentstook out a rally from the college to Kanjur Police Station, carrying placards andexplainingtheprecautionstobetakenbythegeneralpublicagainstthedisease.

    IntheWestZoneNSSSpecialCampheldatRatnagiri,MaharashtrafromDecember262010 to January 2 2011, our NSS volunteer Ravi Chauhan of Third Year B ComparticipatedalongwithsixotherstateNSSvolunteersfromothercolleges.

    TheNSSgrouporganizedaThalessemiaMinorDetectionCampforTYstudentsonJuly30,2010inassociationwiththeNGOThinkFoundationandtheRotaryClubofBombay,Worli.

    WorldPeaceDaywasobservedbytheNSSunitinassociationwithMumbaiSarvodayaManadal on August 9, 2010 on the 65th anniversary of the atomic bombing ofHiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. This programme was organized inassociationwithMumbaiSarvodayaMandal.Photographspertainingtothedestructionandsufferingweredisplayedontheoccasion.Thefacultyandstudentstookapledgeonthisdaytopreservemankindandeliminatetheuseofnuclearweapons.

    A programme to spread Gandhian thoughts was organized in association with BombaySarvodaya Mandal. Over 400 students were provided with books on the subject andthose who successfully completed the examination conducted by the Mandal wereawardedcertificates.
