India has the largest number of youths between the ages of 18-30 years. The situation can be a boom for ourcountry, which can be the world’s superpower, if we are able to develop positive attitude and learning aptitude of our youths. They easily define their vision, mission, & goals and work with zeal to acquire knowledge and skills to realize the goals. I become frightened when I think of the situation where sufficient percentage of our youth turns to be a liability instead of asset to themselves, their parents, their state, and the nation because of lack of constructive attitude and desired skill-set.

I would like to complement Sh. Deepak Kumar, for his dedicated efforts towards motivating the youths in the above direction. An engineering graduate and post-graduate in management, he has preferred to be a counselor in TERII to serve the masses.

This is very basic truth in life. Many people had said this before me also. But I will add one more thing—‘How you start thinking? From where your thoughts are coming? And how they control everything in your life?’

Tell me one thing–Whatever you know today, is it all learned, heard or seen in your life?

I know one thing, “Only strength can tell about strength.”

What you know today is the result of what kind of education system you have followed. If you think you are not happy or not rich today even after following the same education system, I must say that your education system was wrong and you have to change that.

From education system I mean; every person, every source of information, every bit of knowledge you are getting since your birth. These are responsible somehow in the way you live today.

The fear of failure and the fear of criticism are learned so that they can be forgotten. Look at children — the fear of failure & the fear of criticism is almost zero in them. Because they are so clear in their minds, but as they grow up their family & surroundings do the job.

The Real Story of My Life

I did my schooling up to 5th standard from a very small school, where I was treated as an ordinary child. I was from a poor and uneducated background. My father was a labourer and my mother a house-wife. But like every child I had a great potential and somehow after 5th standard I took admission in a reputed school of my area, where education standards were quite high. Again, no one was interested in knowing me and in knowing where things were going wrong in my case. That resulted in my regular bunking of school sometimes even for a week or more.

I was thrown out of the school with great humiliation. That day I understood about the reality of this world. What I concluded from that is—Everyone around you is interested only in the results and not about your feelings & wishes.

From then on I took the responsibility of my life in my own hands at the early age of 12 in 1997.

I discovered from my own experience was that education you need to become a real hero in real life is not taught at school.

List of real super heroes in every fields is quite long who believe with my point that—your education system must be proper & real then only you can grow.

Mission shows you the path by which you will be able to achieve your vision. Likewise, say your vision is to serve people to live in a better living conditions. So, your mission will be to give them good medical facilities, or provide them shelter or home loans if you are in banking field etc.

Again, if you want to go to London from New Delhi and you take it as your vision. Then the mode of transportation you should pick to reach there would be your mission. Again, if your vision is to make this world a better place to live (I think it must be in every one’s personal vision statement), then your mission could be—to contribute through research & development in your favorite area, through your marketing skills, real estate and the list is endless.

Vision is a very basic reason to live. People die without doing anything remarkable because they don’t have any vision in their lives.

A simple example of vision and mission. Two men start their journey for some work together. After some problems one decides to give up concludes and that he will not grow in this field and second one continues to work. Guess why? The answer is very simple. The first one was not confident enough and didn’t have any vision and also lacks self-confidence. The second one is determined and has the confidence to achieve the vision and mission to complete it. ‘Vision gives you the strength and reason to work continually even when most of the people around you decide to give up.’ Read the history of companies that are doing well. They all were created with the great vision and mission. Don’t have the perception that they are companies and you are just a single and simple person. Dear friends, companies are group of great persons working together. Without these people a company is nothing and of no use. Goals in personal life are to maintain your physical health, to acquire family support, to create good relations etc. Goals in professional life may include regular practice of six hours alone then two hours with coach etc.

Go to a park-sit on a bench or on the grass and just keep watching the trees, birds, and the sky for half an hour, doing nothing. This practice will recharge you for the whole day.

Remember, whether you are rich or poor, the nature unconditionally, loves you always.

There are no limits to your achievement. You know that people who are earning billions of dollars are also human beings just like us. They also have 24 hours in a day as we all have. They have 2 hands, 2 legs, 2 ears & 2 eyes as we all have. The only difference lies in their habits.

However, this book is not only on financial wisdom. It is just a starting point in your financial mastery because it will make a paradigm shift in your routine thinking. If you think even for a second that ‘Earning money is not just luck, it is an art,’ then I think that my job is done.

I will talk about this in detail as it is the best education you can have in earning more money. Another term is MSK i.e. ‘Multiple Sources of Knowledge’. Both these terms are inter-related. Your MSI is directly proportional to your MSK.

How much you invest on your knowledge is very important because this will pay you in the form of your MSI (Multiple Sources of Income). Like for a college teacher apart from teaching his students, he can multiply his sources of income by the following ways:-


He/she can share his/her knowledge with the masses through conducting seminars, do video recordings and by starting his own website. By writing books on that subject and by acquiring deep & practical knowledge of that subject he/she can give lectures in some more institutes and can earn significant money. These all will be their MSI, I mean to say additional sources of income. But most of the teacher do only regular jobs in one institution till retirement. They follow the rule of SSI (Single Source of Income). Remember rich people are always keen to open their MSI and they are passionate about it. Notice that many people have only SSI throughout their life. i.e. they get (earn) money only from their 9 to 5 work. They will never try to increase their regular source of income. They will never update their professional knowledge. They will never invest on their own skills like speaking, presentation & leadership skills. If you are not updating and changing your abilities as per the demands of time, you will never become rich. Becoming rich is like making a building. Every building requires a strong foundation. Let me ask you few basic questions,

1. How the designers of top multinational brands design?

You must be thinking that I am asking the same in all the four questions i.e. about the ways of working of the creative people.

Again I am telling you the 3 stage process, first practice it sitting silently & with creative visualization.

My dear friends, the unemployment in the world is due to the lack of proper vision in the minds of people. Without any vision, they are not able to creatively visualize the things that they can have in their lives.

We get around 60,000 thoughts every day in our mind but most of those are related to our past.

The two basic fears that have damaged the humanity are

1. The fear of failure.

2. The fear of criticism.

I am feeling very happy while telling you this “When a child comes into the world, he comes with two great qualities i.e. boldness & confidence.”

Notice the behavior of a child. You will find that he/she is far away from fear & criticism. So the question is,


“From where do we get these negative emotions of failure & criticism as we grow?

It is very clear that both these things are learned from the world. These two things become habits. That’s the reason why I have focused on habits. Whatever we can learn, we can forget. All our habits are learned. Fear of Failure while doing our work is not God-gifted.

So, I suggest you to read this book for making yourself more effective in your personal & professional life. One of the book that I found very interesting & supportive in visualization is “Creative Visualisation” by Shakti Gawain.

Visualization is basically watching pictures of your dreams in your mind. When we see something from the eyes of our mind and especially when we are clear about our vision, mission, values and goals in our masterpiece life, Creative Visualization automatically works.

The second process of the creative habit is ‘the power of writing.’ Suppose in your creative visualization you saw yourself working in a great atmosphere and talking to your soul mates. If you start writing the whole experience, in the same way as you describe any incident to your close friends, this will create special magic. I request you to please try it once then it will become


your habit because it is very effective.

As you start writing your thoughts on paper your mind gets focused on them. My guru Swami Vivekananda believed, “The greatest source of success is our level of concentration on things. Thus, the results will be outstanding.”

So practice this wonderful habit of writing about what you think mostly. Also a great activity you can do is, “You can write about those things that you think maximally and by that you can evaluate what are the things that cover your life and thoughts.”

If you start the habit of writing these things on paper, you will be amazed by the results you will receive. So many people who found time for writing things that matters most in their lives are on the top.

The magical sentence, I would suggest you to write it on a paper and think over it. Give some sessions of creative visualizations while writing it. The sentence is:-

“How can I improve myself & humanity in a better way in the near future?”

This single line has the potential to make you focus on your personal growth. The first and the last thing that is essential to understand is—It is your life and you are the pilot. You have to choose whether you want to live it like a king or a slave. It is your decision.

Don’t think about your present condition that you are


not so rich and not so confident. Tell me how many rich and successful people on earth were born rich? What matters most is your resolution and dedication to become rich & successful.

And one more thing—confidence comes by doing things. You may be very strong in theory but when you start performing things practically, then only you get the confidence and that is what matters.

So, start writing your vision, mission, values and goals of life and get the unexpected ‘Gifts’ that God has already given you.

One of my main purpose of writing this book is that my readers should make a vision & mission statement in their life and start living their life as a king. Start the habit of writing from today. That will transform you completely.

So, what is time management?

Answer is very simple—when we use our time most efficiently & effectively, we can say our time management is the best.

However in the beginning of this book I gave you ABC of Successful Life Management formula and after knowing and working on it you will never feel management of time, as a problem in your life.

Because when you are clear about your vision & mission, you will get a purpose of doing things and a lot of energy in your life to work.

A simple approach to Time Management

I have a wonderful theory of 8 x 8 x 8 for you to become a master time manager.

We all have 24 hours in a day; I divide them in three intervals of 8 hours, 8 hours and 8 hours.

8 hours for sleep

8 hours for our 9 to 5 work or study 8 hours for activities like bathing, eating, travel, relaxing, talking to family & friends. Now the real point comes: How much of your 8 x 8 x 8 is properly planned? Out of the 8 hours for sleep, if you make them 7 hours, you get 365 additional hours in a year for enjoyment and creativity. Out of the 8 hours for sleep if you make them 6 hours, you get 730 additional hours in a year for growth & enjoyment. So, you can easily take out 1-2 hours from your this 8 hours pack. (I suggest you to please take atleast a sound sleep of minimum of 6 hours.) Now coming on to your second 8 hour pack: That’s for 9 to 5 work or study, I will not talk much on this because that duration is for execution, that is when you are at work, you must do your best. Why are we getting these success tips? To make our life successful. So, when you are on the field you must do your best. Now coming on to your third 8 hour pack: From this pack you can easily take out 3 to 4 hours for


your personal or professional growth. Make it clear, that it’s you who has to choose your lifestyle. The point of importance is—You have to take 100% responsibility of your life.

Now, let me tell you a great thought—‘All rich & poor people in the world have the same day constituting of 24 hours duration. Here the difference comes and the difference is how they use their time.’


You have to plan your 8 x 8 x 8 Pack more activily as per your vision demands and then you will never complain about weak time-management.

Because whatever I have told you about your personal growth, all it requires is the time from you to do these activities. So it’s my duty to tell you the basic approach towards time management.

Take a notebook & pen and draw your 8 x 8 x 8 schedule. How many hours do you sleep then decide how much you can reduce them to take out some meaningful hours for your personal & professional growth.

Also, manage out your 8 hour pack of work (if you are working somewhere) or 8 hour pack of study (if you are studying somewhere as a student) and see how many meaningful hours you can take out from here and use them in other creative activities.

Likewise by planning it in advance, you must make a

list of activities that you are going to perform that day on paper & then select their priority or urgency limits and decide in advance the order in which you are going to perform all those activities.

Now, let’s talk about our third pack of 8 hours. Here is the maximum possibility that we can take out time for creative activities. We take considerable time for bathing, eating 3 times a day, travel and talking to our friends & family members. We can easily take out 3 to 4 solid hours from here to invest them to further our personal & business success.

One more thing about time management—‘If you know about your deepest needs & interests and are working accordingly and achieving as per your expectations, then you have no need to worry about your time management.’

Again, let us revise what I have already told you about my 8 x 8 x 8 pack of a day:

On an average,

Sleeping time 8 hours

Work or study time 8 hours

Intermediate time 8 hours

Total number of hours in a week 168 hours

Total number of hours in a year 8760 hours


Now the creative step starts,

Take 1 hour every day from your sleeping time for reading or listening to personal & professional success study material. Now, you have additional 365 hours in a year i.e. almost 15 additional days more than your previous life style.

Remember, you can’t change anything without changing your internal education system*. Nothing will work unless you apply this principle regularly, because a permanent disease can’t be cured with temporary treatment.

Now, if you take 2 hours** every day from your sleeping hours you will have additional 730 hours in a year, i.e. almost 1 month. The results would be so great & positive that you will be astonished by them.

Coming on to the third pack of your 8 hours;

On an average you have 3-4 hours in the morning & 4-5 hours in the evening for remaining activities of your day schedule.

First every list of the activities that your perform during these 8 hours honestly. List them as per the activities that are giving you lifelong benefits or helping you in your growth and the activities you are doing just to pass your time.

Remember one thing that every rich & poor people of the world has only 24 hours a day. It is very clear that

* Note: By education system, I mean everything that gives food to your brain.** Note: Please take at least a minimum 6-7 hour of sleep a day.

the difference is in their approach to the use of these 24 hours effectively.

Now, I am sharing with you some great points:

If you want to become financially sound then please invest at least 1 hour every day in reading books or listening to audio CDs by financial masters. Only those who have achieved before you, can give you the right advice.

If you want to become an expert in any field, invest one hour regularly to read or listen to the experts of that field because they will guide you and will save your years of unnecessary struggle.

And one hour per day will give you 365 hours of educational period in a year & a stronghold in that field.

If you want to achieve something you have definitely to approach towards it, then only you can receive it and for doing this you have to be honest in devoting time on a regular basis.

Tell me one thing—if you are a banking professional or a college professor or a businessman and if you invest one hour in a day in reading or hearing the expert’s view of your field, you will be in another world after few years, that’s guaranteed.

I am a teacher. If I don’t invest my time in increasing my knowledge and in finding more effective ways of teaching, then definitely my performance & income after few years will become a problem for me.

I am a very simple human being with a vision of serving humanity with whole heart. However, on many places I have written my name and said that I discovered these 10 habits of extraordinary people or I wrote these quotations but believe me they are not only mine they are universal & equally effective for all of us. Because we all are equal & connected in a deeper meaning.
