10.9 Organizational Chart
10.10 Student feedback mechanism on institutional governance/ faculty performance
The faculty evaluation by students is initiated from 2008-09 onwards. The students fillthe evaluation sheet online. The evaluation is done on the basis of academic parameterslike low voice, improper board writing, improper presentation, fast teaching, poorEnglish, poor presentation, syllabus coverage, lack of interest, incorrect pronunciation, unpunctual, less explanation. The evaluation sheet is to be presented to governing bodyduring the meetings for their remarks. Thereafter the evaluation report is conveyed toeach faculty.
10.11 Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students
STE Society has democratic setup abide by all the rules, regulations, laws related toeducational institutions. Maharashtra University Act 1994, AICTE Act, UGC Act are thefew to mention which are strictly followed along with provisions of various lawsconcerned with employment & employees welfare as well.
STE society has three tier governance namely top management, middle management &college management. Any grievance of an employee can be addressed directly to the topmanagement (viz President/secretary of the society) It can be sent through proper channelor even can be directly submitted without prejudice to the Chief Managing Trustee whohas been accessible to all the employees of Society. However, Local ManagingCommittee & Governing Council of the college are the regular platforms for addressingissues related to employees welfare including promotions, increments, leaves & otherbenefits . The basic element of natural justice namely patient hearing, enquiry & decisionare used to overcome the grievance. Thus a very fare justice is extended to everyindividual employee at what’s ever capacity be might have employed in any of theconstituent colleges of the society. Similar policy is also adopted for any complaint fromthe students to avoid delay in the process as STE society believes in the fact: “Justicedelayed is justice denied”. It is needless to say, every grievance, complaints, suggestionsare well recorded, documented at various levels as applicable.
