Choosing topics manually is not efficient. As the number of topics increases, machine filtering cannot guarantee the quality of notification.

Web-redirecting reading cannot promise the reading experience. The reading method of redirecting to the website may cause fonts disunity or require users to log in (such as weibo information). It is problematic for a application that focuses on reading information.

The number of topics is limited. Readers can easily read through the whole topic list and the topics are not classified properly

Using this app can save time for journalists and editors. It can help them to receive valuable information quickly. They do not need to spend time on gathering and distinguishing information.

Journalists and editors can easily get the developments of news events they chase. The system will follow every topic and crawl related information about it. Once the topic is updated, they will receive one notification and won’t miss anything.

My thoughts

As information overload is prevalent in Internet era, users have stronger demand of receiving valuable information quickly.

Setting personalized information as the breakthrough point, the application help users concentrate on the content they are interested in. Before I found this app, I usually have to use many apps to get information I want to know.

In addition, personalized subscription help Jike to collect the data of users with better quality. The function helps Jike to provide more personalized recommendation for users and lays a good foundation of commercialization.
