I am working at Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Awsim Central Hospital- Ministry of Health As OBS&GYNA ASSISTANT Specialist (May 2015 to Present). OBS&GYNA Registrar (March 2012 to May 2015). Resident doctor (March 2010 to FEB 2012). House officer doctor (March 2009 to FEB 2010).

I am working at Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, El Soudan hospital for surgery and birth operations - Registrar doctor (June 2010 to APRIL 2016). My communication skills have greatly improved and I have learnt to be a safe doctor.

My work involves attending clinics and round with the consultant and presenting cases to the consultant. Attending the teaching program, audit meeting in the hospital. Attending antenatal and gynecology OPD. Ward rounds. Emergency labour ward duties. Gynecological operation theatre (major and minor). Obstetric operation theatre. Labour Ward: Confident with labour ward management, enjoys working as part of the team, keen to learn from senior colleagues. Twin delivery and assisted breech delivery with confidence. Other labour ward emergencies such as Caesarean Sections, management of ante- and post-partum haemorrhage, preterm labour, eclampsia, shoulder dystocia, cord prolapse and perineal suturing of episiotomy, second, third and fourth degree tears all performed with confidence. Encourages normal vaginal delivery, avoiding intervention unless necessary. Keen to seek advice from more senior and more specialized colleagues when necessary, especially in high risk and complicated cases. Involved in setting up of guidelines and protocols in management of obstetrics and gynecology emergencies. Family Planning, patient counseling about family planning methods. Performs insertion of Intrauterine Contraceptive Devices with confidence, including the Mirena My rota included one night in every three days during which I was exposed to major obstetric emergencies.
