Reporting Mechanisms• 3 main methods Healthcare staff can access

data at different levels

• Stats Online

• Reports Online

• Clinician Feedback

Page 10: Accessing NJR Data

• A web-based facility for viewing and downloading NJR statistics for English and Welsh independent healthcare providers, NHS hospitals and treatment centres

• Accessible by everyone• Shows how much data hospitals and treatment

centres have submitted to the NJR since the 1st April 2003.

• The statistics are based on the operation date. • Data at the hospital level is supplied by both

operation date and the date the operation record was submitted to the NJR database.

Page 12: Accessing NJR Data

• Consultants must give permission for their data to be seen by the HDM – This will change with the next database upgrade

• Consultants & surgeons can view and download reports on procedures performed/patient details

Need own login & password to access this

• Operations reports• Components reports

Split this way because several components may be implanted during one operation and this generates too much data to

download for easy display in one spreadsheet

• Procedure Type Case Mix• Brand UsageThese reports include all operations performed at your hospital,
