Printers Macs with Lion/Mountain Lion pre- or clean installed, and/or MacBook Airs (Late 2010 and Mid 2011 or later; with Snow Leopard, Lion, or Mountain Lion installed), do not have the required HP Printer Drivers pre-installed. The HP Printer Drivers can be downloaded from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907 or the SMU network (instructions below). If you have previously used this guide to install the HP Printer Drivers, run Software Update to update to Version 2.9. All other Macs with Snow Leopard, or Lion/Mountain Lion upgraded from Snow Leopard have the required HP Printer Drivers. Run Software Update to update to Version 2.9, and skip to the following section to add the printers. If you have upgraded from Snow Leopard to Lion/Mountain Lion and had previously added the SMU printers, you will need to delete the printers, and also the related Keychain items (e.g. MonoPCLA4, ColorPS, etc.) in Keychain Access, and then re-add the printers using the instructions in the next section. Download HP Printer Drivers from SMU network Select Go à Connect to Server… from the Finder menu.
