A Tale of Two Shows – Always…Patsy Cline and Driving Miss Daisy (Please read this issue carefully as this is your newsletter for both shows) Always…Patsy Cline By Ted Swindley Country has never had it so good with Town’s rendition of Always…Patsy Cline. meet louise Seger, a divorced houston housewife, as she shares her memories and her first real-life encounter with country legend, Patsy Cline. Based on a true story, this show mixes Patsy’s country croons with louise’s comedic turns. Town’s production first premiered in August 2000 as the Board of Governors of e Columbia Stage Society pursued a theatre fundraiser. Aſter playing to sold out houses, the theatre was asked to tour the production across South Carolina. Town’s version of Always…Pasty Cline has graced the stages of the newberry opera house, Bishopville opera house, and the community theatre venues in dillon and Greenwood. Audiences cannot seem to get enough of this country favorite having requested that we bring ‘em back where they belong! As y’all have asked, both Shannon Willis Scruggs and Kathy hartzog, will return to the Town stage in the roles of Patsy and louise. Country has never had it so good with Town’s rendition of Always…Patsy Cline. meet louise Seger, a divorced houston housewife, as she shares her memories and her first real-life encounter with country legend, Patsy Cline. Based on a true story, this show mixes Patsy’s country croons with louise’s comedic turns.

Town’s production first premiered in August 2000 as the Board of Governors of The Columbia Stage Society pursued a theatre fundraiser. After playing to sold out houses, the theatre was asked to tour the production across South Carolina. We are delighted to welcome back the historic villa Tronco as a dining partner for Always…Patsy Cline and Driving Miss Daisy. Pick the performance you would like to attend, call the theatre to reserve your tickets and make reservations for dinner prior to the show. your meal will consist of a complimentary glass of Zardetto Prosecco; a house salad with homemade bread; your choice of villa Tronco chicken, eggplant parmigiana, lasagna or shrimp fettuccini followed by a dessert choice which includes Carmella’s famous cheesecake. Come to celebrate with Town and villa Tronco!

And, as an added attraction for this year, Senate’s end will welcome you on Thursday, February 12 (only two days before valentine’s day, fellas!). your meal will consist of a sumptuous buffet featuring a complimentary glass of wine, marinated vegetable salad, broccoli casserole, grilled vegetables and roasted potatoes, chicken marsala, dupre’s World Famous Pulled Pork, dessert, rolls, tea and coffee.

The cost for either venue is $30 per person for members and $50 for non-members and this includes your ticket to the show. All taxes and gratuity are included. A cash bar is available at both restaurants.

For each restaurant, please arrive by 6:00 pm to enable you to enjoy your meal at a leisurely pace and be at the theatre by curtain. Ample parking is available.

And, last but not least, help us give “new” hope to those in our community through donating to harvest hope when you come to Always…Patsy Cline. Jim hudson lexus is proudly sponsoring this fundraiser, along with Town Theatre, and all donations will be distributed locally by harvest hope Food Bank.

For every four items that you bring, Town will give you a voucher for 50 cents to be used at our concession stand during intermission.

• if you must cancel on the day of the show, you may request to be placed on stand-by for another performance of the same show. if tickets become available, you will be contacted by phone on the day you have requested.
