Whiz Kids Mentoring & Arbor Church
is serving Wright Brothers PreK-8 while opening a door for students and families to meet God and get connected with a local church. At Kids Rock, we get to invite people we meet to walk with Gods family, long term. Then we get to see God
transform lives.
Kids Rock Club
Whiz Kids is a one-on-one, literacy based,
highly relational tutoring program for one hour a week.
• Each Whiz Kids volunteer tutor is paired with one student throughout the year.
• Volunteers minister to at-risk youth who are behind in their reading and would benefit from a stable relationship with a caring adult.
• City Gospel Mission. Ten years. Currently over eighty-six churches, seventy-one schools, and one thousand three hundred students!
Why Reading?
“If you don’t know how to read by
the end of fourth grade, the state is
building you a prison cell.”
- Dr. O’dell Owens President, Cincinnati
State.
“It is not a lack of
intelligence that holds a
student back, but rather, a
lack of support systems and
role models.”

• Boosted academic scores
