Established back in September of 1964, Holy Spirit is a Roman Catholic church that is located at 183, Church Street in Newington, CT. The church offers weekly and holiday services and holds fundraisers for various organizations.
The Newington Fire Department received a portion of the fallen World Trade Center Back in 2011
The portion of steel beam is on display in front of Company 1’s firehouse on Main Street
What was once powering an old saw mill, Mill Pond Falls is a hot spot for prom pictures and is celebrated every year by the Newington community. It is one of the many features of Mill Pond Park.
When brought up in conversation, locals will often refer to Mill Pond Falls as being the “smallest natural waterfall in the United States.”
