History of Bateman Manufacturing

Bateman Manufacturing was established in 1989 in Barrie, Ontario. At that time Bateman manufactured attachments for excavators, loaders and material handlers for the construction, demolition, and forestry industries. In 2002, Bateman moved to Orillia, Ontario and increased production of Orange Peel Grapples, and Demolition Grapples, introduc-ing more products to the Recycling and Demolition industry. In 2011, Bateman moved to a 35,000 sq. ft. facility in Shanty Bay, Ontario in response to the increased demand for Bateman products. Today Bateman Manufacturing is proud to supply products both domestically and internationally.

Beginning with the design stage, all orders placed with Bateman are continually monitored by a dedicated team of professionals to ensure quality, reliability, and performance.

Bateman has a wide range of in-house capabilities to assist in the design and fabrication of its prod-ucts. These capabilities include plasma and torch cutting, fitting, welding, line boring, machining, assembly and painting.

Bateman Hydraulic Generators are purpose built to provide dependable electric power to running your scrap magnet, Bate-man Mag-Grab, Bateman Bypass/Power Grab, Bateman Demo-Mag or Bateman Mag-Bucket. These reliable generators are equipped with maintenance free, solid state, piggy back mounted controllers.

A dedicated pump mounted on an auxiliary drive pad on the main pump provides trouble free performance and elimi-nates slow machine functions and off tracking. These issues are common to add-on priority control valve systems that share boom circuit flow. A standard 2 position D0-5 valve controls flow to the generator motor, subplate mounted and includes a cartridge relief valve for pressure control.

hydra-Magnet

The Hydra-Mag is a self-contained auxiliary powered magnet and hydraulic generator combination. Attach the hydra-mag to excavators set up with an auxiliary circuit to operate by use of the joystick control or button. Turn on the circuit, once the flow is at the generator the magnet will charge and begin attracting material. Turn off the circuit and the material will fall as the generator slows.The recommended flow ideal to drive the generator is 25 gal per min. The hydraulic generator contains an onboard con-trol valve that is preset for 21 gal to the drive motor. There is a relief valve to protect the motor circuit in addition to what is on the machine to protect the auxiliary circuit. The Hydra-Mag contains a high pressure, high speed piston drive motor with 4 jaw coupling directly mounted to the generator.

Bateman’s New Diesel Magnet is designed for cleaning out ship holds and barges using the Ships Gear Grapples. It allows for wireless remote operation on the single hook ships cranes. The Diesel Magnet configuration can also be utilized for any crane application, including industrial Bridge crane applications for moving plate or large heavy steel product. The Diesel magnet provides immediate results, eliminating the need for electrical tracks and cable spools.
