Emergency operation commences on mains failureor when the main supply is switched off. Duringemergency operation the remaining battery capacity isindicated by the number of LEDs which are on.

The red LED begins flashing after six months fromthe last successful emergency duration test, or whenduring battery discharge a defective power supply or

fluorescent lamp is detected.The red LED will continueto flash until a successful duration test is completed.
