“We love it, our kids love it and it provides a

great sense of family. It’s “THE” tradition we have been looking for to share with

our kids year after year.”

At YMCA Camp Nawakwa, you’ll hear a lot of sounds – you’ll hear the birds chirping, the wind blowing through the trees and lots of laughter. One thing you won’t hear? The dreaded question: “I’m bored, what can we do?” And we think that’s pretty magical!

Our Family Camp gives all members of the family a safe and friendly environment to create lifelong memories. Our programs and activities are designed for both children and adults, either individually or together as a family.

Choose from a variety of activities, including:

• Swimming • Potluck dinner• Nature hikes • Triathlon• Boat in breakfast • Water carnival• Kayaking • Arts and crafts• Boating • Fishing• Drama & games • Wildlife presentations• Native American • Archery experiences • Sports

OUR STAFF“My kids have the BEST vacation when they are at camp. They have the freedom to roam and we get some time for ourselves. It’s nice to see the kids having fun, making new friends and being tired at the end of the day!”

Our dedicated team is the foundation of everything we do at YMCA Camp Nawakwa. We’re a team of enthusiastic professionals trained in health and safety procedures, counseling and camp programs to ensure that you and your family or group have a positive and unforgettable camp experience.

HEALTH AND SAFETYHealth and safety are the top priority at Camp Nawakwa. We follow industry standard risk management policies and practices, and our staff are certified in first aid and CPR and receive training on camper health and wellbeing.

DININGEach family is responsible for preparing their own food. Refrigerators, ovens, stoves, dishware, cooking utensils and outdoor grills are provided.

GROUPRETREATSOur modern cabins are winterized, and our Welcome Center offers a comfortable space for both meetings and activities. The Bridge Builder Retreat Center is designed to sleep 20 people comfortably. Groups larger than 20 will be able to use the other modern cabins for comfortable living quarters.

Keep costs down by preparing your own meals (extra bonding time!) or our staff can arrange a local caterer for an additional fee. Each cabin has its own kitchen complete with refrigerator/freezer, oven, stove, dishware, cooking utensils and outdoor grills. If you choose the catered service, the North Camp Lodge is heated and can accommodate up to 60 people.

Call 715.588.7422 to schedule your conference or retreat!

“My family has been attending camp for over

50 years. We are now on the third generation of camp attendees. Camp is in our blood. More importantly, camp is a gift from God that we are able to continue to be able to return year after year.”

Our state-of-the art cabins and facilities are designed to fit the needs of every family or group, large and small. Camp Nawakwa is divided into two areas—North and South Camp. While each is distinctly different, both camps offer the same unforgettable experience.

Situated near the largest swimming area on site and close to the Welcome Center with its free Wi-Fi and gathering places, North Camp is place to be for our adventurous and active groups and families. Choose from 22 cabins, ranging from our more intimate cabins (sleeping 4-6 ) to our Bridge Builder, which sleeps up to 24 guests and is perfect for special events or large group gatherings.

Looking for peace, quiet, and relaxation? Then our South Camp is the spot for you! Our 14 cabins on the “quiet side” of camp boast gorgeous views of the lake and range from comfortable four-person sleepers to the exclusive “Island” cabin, which sleeps up to nine and includes an amazing 360 degree view of the lake!
