On behalf of Oklahoma Lawyers for Children, we are delighted to invite you to

Chips for Children 2015: Venetian Ball.

Our annual gala is a special tradition at OLFC, raising critical funds toward our

mission of providing pro bono legal representation to abused and neglected

children in central Oklahoma. Every day, the Oklahoma County Juvenile Court

relies on OLFC attorney volunteers to ensure that these children move

expediently through the legal system toward a safe and healthy resolution. At

Chips for Children, we celebrate our volunteers and look to the future as we

continue to expand our legal services.

This years Venetian masquerade-themed event will take place at the beautiful

Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club in Nichols Hills. The gala will feature

cocktails, dinner, dancing, a live and silent auction, and a costume contest.

We hope you will consider sponsorship of this truly special occasion, which

funds nearly half of our entire annual budget. Enclosed you will find more

information about OLFCs programs as well as opportunities and benefits of

O U R M I S S I O N:

We are volunteers championing for children

who are abused, neglected, and in need of

legal services.

Almost every single day in Oklahoma County, a child is removed from their

home due to neglect or abuse. The county then holds an Emergency Show

Cause hearing, where state agencies, lawyers, and a judge wrestle with the

facts to determine where the child goes next.

It can be a confusing and scary time for a child. Fortunately, an Oklahoma

Lawyers for Children volunteer attorney is there to represent the child at every

single one of these hearings. As a childs case proceeds, our attorneys

continue to defend the child until they reach an outcome that ensures their

safety, health, and well-being.

Outside of the courtroom, we support Oklahoma County children in foster care

or shelters by coordinating foster home reassessments, hosting an annual free

tennis clinic and outdoor picnic, andin the coming monthsby organizing a

mentorship program for foster kids nearing adulthood.

We yearn for the day when no Oklahoma County child is abused or neglected.

But until that day, Oklahoma Lawyers for Children will fight for the well-being of
