The Guatemala Team has our famous chili-to- go carry-away JANUARY 29 th ! It’s a large serv- ing of chili with cornbread or rolls, all for only $5.00, available after each worship service on 1/29. Get lunch AND support the continuing success of the Guatemala mission teams this year as we work to improve drinking water, promote public health and education, and deep- en our spiritual partnerships with local groups. Children’s MinistryNursery care is provided in Room 3 for children from birth to 24 months of ageduring the 9:30 & 11 a.m. worship services.

Foundations (an adult bible study gearedtowards families with children in pre-school through elementary school) startsour 12-week spring Bible study Wed.Jan. 25th at 6:15 pm in room 7. We willbe learning from a Lifeway Guides studycovering some of the Parables. No materi-als are needed other than a Bible.

Childcare will be provided free of chargefor babies through elementary age kiddosfor this night, as Wed. Night Live won’t bein session yet. I do need RSVPs for thenumber and age of kiddos that will needchildcare before Jan. 22nd so we can en-sure enough staff is on hand. The all-church fellowship dinners won’t be in ses-

sion yet but we’ll take a collectionfor those interested and have

someone pick up pizza and fruit fromCostco to enjoy from 5:30 - 6:15 pm inroom 7 as well (kids will eat with us; feelfree to bring your own dinner if pizza isn’tyour thing).

We’re also looking ahead to our annualSuper Bowl party and an Easter Egg Hunt(already?!) for fellowship events for thesemester. We love new class membersand it’s totally o.k. to come by yourselfif your spouse is traveling or busy—socome check us out! Constitutional Questions for Offi-cers:

1. Do you trust in Jesus Christ as yourSavior, acknowledge Him Lord of alland Head of the church, and throughHim believe in one God, Father, Son,and Holy Spirit?

2. Do you accept the Scriptures of theOld and New Testaments to be, bythe Holy Spirit, the unique and au-thoritative witness to Jesus Christ inthe church universal, and God’sWord to you?

3. Do you sincerely receive and adoptthe essential tenets of the Reformedfaith as expressed in the confessionsof our church as authentic and reli-able expositions of what Scriptureleads us to believe and do, and willyou be instructed and led by thoseconfessions as you lead the people ofGod?

4. Will you fulfill your office in obedi-ence to Jesus Christ, under the au-thority of Scripture, and becontinually guided by our confes-sions?

5. Will you be governed by ourchurch’s polity, and will you abideby its discipline? Will you be afriend among your colleagues inministry, working with the, subject to

the ordering of God’s Word and Spir-it?

6. Will you in your own life seek to fol-low the Lord Jesus Christ, love yourneighbors, and work for the reconcil-iation of the world?

7. Do you promise to further the peace,unity, and purity of the church?

8. Will you seek to serve the peoplewith energy, intelligence, imagina-tion, and love?

9. (For elder) Will you be a faithful el-der, watching over the people, pro-viding for their worship, nurture,and service? Will you share in gov-ernment and discipline, serving ingoverning bodies of the church, andin your ministry will you try to showthe love and justice of Jesus Christ?

10. (For deacon) Will you be a faithfuldeacon, teaching charity, urging con-cern, and directing the people’s helpto the friendless and those in need?In your ministry will you try to showthe love and justice of Jesus Christ?
