DEC-FEB 2019-20CURFEW FEATURES THE COTTON CLUB

A white gangster, named Madden, managed this iconic speakeasy, situated in the center of Harlem, New York. He opened the club, in the middle of prohibition time, and during the Harlem Renaissance, which gave the jazz nightclub it’s gangster and strict segregation reputation, where rich white people could be served and entertained by African-Americans. The club functioned under a very thinly veiled cover of racism. The Cotton Club was renowned by it Cabaret shows, featuring some of the most important performers, such as Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, Lena Horn and Billie Holliday.

Bulleit Bourbon created by the American, Augustus Bulleit, in 1830s, resembles the era of the Cotton Club, and blends perfectly with Curfew’s homemade persimmon liqeur, Mandarine Napoleon, ruby port wine, Campari and cardamom bitters.
