Navigating and Adjusting Parameters with the Onboard GUIItispossibletoadjustmostparametersoftheAPA1200DSPontheunititselfviathedisplayandcontrolknob.Forinitialsetupofthedevice,itisrecommendedtoconnecttotheweb-basedGUI(seethenextsection),astheonboardGUIisbetterformakingquickadjustmentsonthefly,ratherthanmanyadjustmentsatonce.Formoreinformationabouteachmenuoptionandparametertype,seethecorrespondingsectionslaterinthisguide.Instructions:
1. Rotating the dialwillmovetothenextmenuoptionorincrease/decreaseavaluedependingonthecurrentcontextofthemenu.Thecurrentlyselectedparameterwillbehighlighted.
2. Pressing the dialonceselectsagivenparameteroradvancesfurtherintothemenu(goforward).3. Quickly pressing the dial twicereturnstothepreviouspageorpreviouslevelofthemenu(gobackward).
Forexample,ifyouareinthePEQmenu,youwillclicktheknoboncetoselectaparametersuchasfrequen-cy.Youcanthenrotatethedialtochangethisfrequency.Whenyouaredone,pressthedialtwicetogoback,allowingyoutoselectadifferentparametertochange.

Steps:1. ConnecttheAPA1200DSPtoarouterornetworkswitchviaastandardethernetpatchcable.Plugoneendofthe
patchcableintoyourrouter/switch,andplugtheotherendintotheLANportonthebackoftheAPA1200DSP(TheAPA1200DSPcannotbeattachedtoyournetworkviaWi-Fi,howeverWi-Fidevices,suchasalaptop,canwirelesslyaccesstheAPA120DSP’swebGUI).Note: TheAPA1200DSPwillworkwithoutanexternalinternetcon-nection,meaningthenetworkneedstobeestablished,butitdoesnotrequireconnectiontoaserviceprovider.
2. B. Level Meter - DisplaysinputandoutputlevelsindB.Ifyouarenotgettinganyoutputfromyourconnect-edspeaker,butyouseethatthereisoutputfromthelevelmeter,checktheconnectionfromtheamptoyourspeaker.
1. The“M”buttonsnexttotheoutputlabelcanbeusedtomutetheoutputofyourAPA1200DSP.C. Output Mode – Setyourdevicetoeither“Sub”or“Stereo”mode.
1. Sub – ThismodeshouldbeusedwhenasubwooferisattachedtotheAPA1200DSPinbridgedmode.ThismodeallowstheAutoEQfunctiontobeused.

LPF Menu (Low Pass Filter)
LPFstandsfor“LowPassFilter”.Thisisthetypeoffilterthatisusedtopreventasubwooferfromplayinghighfrequencies,butthisisnottheonlyuseoftheLPF.Forexample,ifIsetalowpassfilterat100Hz,frequencieslowerthan100Hzwill“pass”,butfrequenciesgreaterthan100Hzwillbeattenuatedbyaspecifiedslope.LPFsareessentialforsubwoofers,becauseitallowsthesubwoofertoonlyplaythelowfrequenciesofyouraudiosource.

4. Takeyourmeasurementsatdifferentpositions.Ifyoutookyourmeasurementsclusteredtogether,trytakingthemoveralargerarea.Ifyouusedalargeareatobeginwith,trytakingmeasurementsclosertoadesiredlisteningpositioninstead.
5. MakesurethatyoudonothaveotherEQorfiltersettingsenabledthatnegativelyaffectthesoundofyoursubwoofer.AlthoughEQforsubwoofersisverypowerful,someissuescannotbecorrectedwithEQ.Youmightneedtophysicallymoveyoursubwoofer,upgradethesubwoofer,ormodifyyourroomphysicallytoachievetheresultsyouwant.
6. TrymodifyingthedelayfunctionintheGUIoftheAPA1200DSP.Thiscanhavegreatresultsinthecombinationofsoundofyourmainspeakersandyoursubwooferbyacousticallyaligningthem.
