• Mechanisms/Norms & procedure for democratic/good Governance Vision and mission statement of Anand Pharmacy College is defined in joint co-ordination of the head of the institute and all the staff members including the teaching and non-teaching staff. Vision and mission statement was explained and presented before all staff members by head of the institute and feedback in terms of contributions made and improvements necessary in future is done on timely basis. The various activities, sections and operational methodology have been defined, implemented and supervised continuously to upgrade the whole process. Co relation and adapting of activities, processes and sections with the organizational chart is being regularly maintained along with definition of functional heads (with Job Profile) (Enclosure 1) Induction manual is being prepared and modified year by year in which the mechanism of working and information regarding all the policies/rules and regulation of the institute is mentioned and explained to new member joining the institute. The institution has also developed a mechanism of regular meeting at department level to suggest any discrepancy in the systems. Administrative in charge and all concerned HODs are responsible to ensure the implementation part conveyed to staff members during the regular presentation. Monthly departmental meeting along with meetings of all the committees handling various activities and processes are in effect which provides all the staff members, an equal opportunity to put their opinion among the higher decision making authorities vice versa head of the department and of the Institute can make aware the members regarding changes expectations and employees involvement for the betterment.

• Student Feedback on Institutional Governance/faculty performance Student counseling (Enclosure 3)

Individual students counseling (General) helps in understanding the behavior and expectations of the students towards the institutions and its facilities. A well-developed questionnaire is filled with the response of the students and analyses of the findings are ensured to implement the suggestions and queries raised by the students. The current procedure of student counseling involves immense faculty involvement. Twenty students are allotted to each teacher and the teacher is in continuous contact with those 20 students. A monthly formal meeting is also organized with the students and the counselor whereby every problem (academic and non-academic) is discussed and sorted. The counselor tries to resolves the issue by him/her self but can also raise the issue to the counseling head in case of difficulty. Student counseling ensures satisfaction of the students pertaining to various academic and non-academic activities. The students are also encouraged and motivated to perform various activities and explore their talents. The students were also encouraged to undertake various small projects in pharmacy to get them acquainted with the research prospective and enabling them writing or presenting research abstracts/articles and projects. Suggestion Box A suggestion box, which is permanently placed in the Library and administrative office area of the institute, is an open way of communication by the students with the higher officials. Students can communicate their routine problems problems, feedback and queries without mentioning their names. The suggestion box is being scrutinized by the head of the institute on monthly basis. Committee headed by The Principal and all HODs of the institutions are taking care for successful completion of student counseling process and implementation of student suggestion.

• Grievance redressal mechanism for faculty, staff and students Committee headed by The Principal and all the HODs of the institution are taking care for successful implementation of student suggestion feedback. The same committee is authorized for the implementation of grievance redressal system at the institute level. The student counseling system is being implemented. The committee ensures regarding organization of regular department level and entire staff level meetings to solve the problems and grievance on a common ground. Suggestion Box for students is placed in the library area and at Admin office. Additionally the Student Counseling process also helps in implementation of Grievance redressal mechanism. All faculty members are assigned duties as Student counselor, whereby at least 20 Students are allotted to faculty members. Internal Continuous Evaluation System and place Regular Monthly meeting of the Department heads with the Principal and Administrative In-charge ensures continuous evaluation of all the staff members. IQAC is also functional in the institute who is responsible for maintaining the quality education and teaching learning environment of the institute.

Student counseling (Enclosure 2) Individual students counseling helps in understanding the behavior and expectations of the students towards the institutions and its facilities. A well-developed questionnaire for assessing the teachers over all contribution to the teaching learning process is filled by the students and an analysis of the suggestions and queries raised by the students are implemented .

Suggestion Box A suggestion box, which is permanently placed in the Library area of the Institute, is an open way of communication by the students with the higher officials. Students can communicate their routine problems, feedback and queries without mentioning their names.

• Admission procedure (M. Pharm – Pharmacology and M. Pharm - Pharmaceutics)

Admission criteria & eligibility

1. The admission criteria shall comply with the guidelines of the All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE), Gujarat Technological University and Admission Committee for professional Courses, Gujarat Government .

2. No. of students to be enrolled for the course – 10 / Course 3. As per prevailing guidelines, the admissions will be provided by Admission Committee for

professional Courses, Gujarat Government for the above seats in the following manner: General Category – 5 seats SC / ST Category – 2 seats Sponsored Category – 3 seats 4. Admission will be provided to B. Pharm. graduates 5. Merit will be decided on the basis of gate Score for the 85 % of sanctioned intake and incase

of exhaustion of the available candidates for the 85 % seats with Gate score, then the GATE disqualified candidates will be considered on the basis of their CET score .

6. Merit will be decided on the basis of CET Score for the 15 % of sanctioned intake of the applicants registering at the institute for NRI/ NRI sponsored seats.(the merit list is endorsed by Admission Committee for professional Courses, Gujarat Government ).

Admission procedure is done by Admission Committee for professional Courses, Gujarat Government

• Admission of 75% of sanctioned intake is done on the basis of score obtained in Graduate Aptitude Test for Engineering (GATE) conducted at national level and

• 25 % of the sanctioned intake is approved for admission of management seats. Not more than 15 % of these seats are eligible for NRI/ NRI Sponsored students and 10 % are for management quota seats. The management quota seats(10 % of the sanctioned intake) have been surrendered to the Admission Committee for Professional Courses, Ahmedabad. For the remaining 15 % NRI/ NRI Sponsored seats following procedure is followed.

1. Advertisement in the newspaper. 2. Preparing merit list of the applications received on the basis of their CET scores . 3. Endorsement of the merit list for the NRI/ NRI Sponsored seats from Admission

Committee for Professional Courses, Ahmedabad. 4. Panel selection of the applicant according to their merit.

Vacant seats are being notified immediately to Admission Committee for Professional Courses, Ahmedabad before reshuffling process .
