Sub Plans 2/11/19
1st and 3rd Block:
1) Finish questions on the To Kill a Mockingbird sheet for Chapters 4-6. Students should have these sheets with them. If not, they could look on with another student and record their answers on notebook paper. These sheets stay with the students – do not have them turn them in. Give them about 15 minutes to work on these questions.
2) Read Chapter 7 in To Kill a Mockingbird. They should have their books. There are a few extra on the other teacher desk if you need to let them borrow. Tell them to expect a quiz tomorrow. Have students read silently or in pairs – whichever you prefer and find easier. This will probably take about 30 minutes.
3) Have students write chapter summaries for chapters 1-7. Each summary should be at least 4-5 sentences long. Have them create these summaries on notebook paper and turn them in at the end of the class period – whatever they complete. Have them work on these summaries after they read chapter 7 until the end of the period.
