PCWorld and testing partner, Novarum Inc., tested the download speeds, upload speeds, and network dependability of the AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, and Verizon 3G networks
20 locations in each of 13 U.S. cities. Altogether we ran more than 51,000 separate tests covering 850 square miles of wireless cell coverage servicing 7 million wireless subscribers
In our tests last spring, AT&T posted an average download speed of 818 kbps (kilobits per second) across 13 cities. In our tests conducted in December 2009 and January 2010, AT&T’s average download speed increased to 1410 kbps.
• GPS Tracking: Tracking buses or other district vehicles can identify route issues, reduce waste by reducing idling times, ensure employees are where they are supposed to be.
• Asset Tracking: Small, magnetic devices can be attached to equipment and anything else that tends to go missing or is more valuable than the cost of the tracking service.
• Workflow Management: Track processes and transactions from order issuing to job completion and all steps in between on your mobile device
• Content Delivery: New web-based technologies allow relatively quick and easy access to most datasystems which can then be delivered to your mobile device. Examples: Student Information, Library Resources, HR and PayRoll.
